Re: need to be sign in to xbox live?

I've been told in the past that routers are generally good for about 2 years. I've gotten more than 2 years out of our WNR2000 and, frankly, hope it never goes bad. Like I said last night, for the first time ever I port forwarded my console and I had only a couple of matches where lag was an issue. In fact, I only had one Ghosts match where lag was an issue. In mw3, I ran a 4 bar almost the entire time. Only a couple of matches did I ever fall below three bars, but even then everyone in the lobby seemed not to be having issues with lag. One other thing, I don't recall ever seeing the pre-match countdown start at over 50 seconds. I lost count of how many times I saw that happen last night. I've seen people posting that the host starts with a counter at 59 seconds, but I think it is simply over 50 seconds. The reason I think this is because every match would either start at 53 or normal. The thing I loved the most? When I was host, there was never a single complaint about lag. Not once. It did not give me any advantage - I still performed just like normal (some good matches, some bad). One last thing, holy cow! the DLC downloaded at least 75% faster than it did pre-port forwarding. I was amazed. Took me a while to figure it all out, but I got it and I'm excited about COD again.
