As a Primarily HC player, I find your view to be myopic and misguided.
Clan Wars were never meant to be tailored to one particular play style or mode. It is meant to display Proficiency across multiple Modes and Game Types.
HC Modes are included as Nodes, and I am sure Core players have had to take themselves out of their comfort level to play them.
If you choose to limit your Clan to one mode, you have already pre-determined your fate in the Clan Wars and really limited the scope of what you are capable of.
