I think that equipment could be a little more subjective than a gun. All guns kill. So the only real question is does a gun completely outshine all other guns or even a substantial majority or not. When you can easily name several guns on either side of the spectrum that beat a particular weapon handily then it's hard to make an OP argument. For equipment, however, application, throwing distance, blast radius can all be variables to take into consideration. Personally, I didn't have an issue with the IEDs pre-patch and I don't post patch. To me it's just a variant in how they choose to put them in the game. The post patch version is more consistent with the capabilities of the lethals that it replaced. Had BBs and Claymores not be dodgeable in previous titles then I don't think that anybody would have complained about prepatch IEDs in this one.
