Let me first start by saying that I DID leave the lobby after the match ended, and I DID wait 10 seconds before trying the lobby again. I did this 4 times. I got the same lobby 3 times, and then a different lobby the fourth time, to which I thanked the heavenly CoD Gods. Unfortunately, halfway into the match, the a**hole was back in my match and in my team somehow.
I know I know. No "naming n shaming," and I have no intentions to.
There was a player. A friendly - very very friendly - player who apparently did not want me sniping from windows or behind any structure that may hide my location... you know, as decent snipers often do, because we can't fire 800 RPMs, as some of the other guys can.
What did the friendly player do? He kept firing off shots and throwing grenades and flashbangs/concussion near my location so that I - number one - could not focus, and - number two - would keep being found out and shot from some unknown location.
Did I try to shake him off besides the 4 attempts to land in a different lobby? You bet! Did I report him? Yes, because I understand if he was bored and just wanted to have a little fun, but this a**hole kept chasing just me around. When we both died, the times we didn't spawn in the same place, he would go searching for me to do it all over again. In fact, I think all the kills he got were on his way to me. I imagine he felt a sort of romantic attraction for my username or something... or maybe he remembers it from some other time we played and I pissed him off (my username is quite memorable, but I won't be disclosing it here.) I honestly don't know. The point is... as much as I didn't want to report him, I decided to after the last time. I thought he would stop after 2 matches of the same crap, but he didn't.
Why am I posting this? To be honest, partly, to *****. But the other part of me just wants to know how many of you guys have ever had to deal with something similar - not in Hardcore, because we've all heard those stories - but in regular Core?
