Outrageous, are you really convinced that the "quickscope method" of playing Call of Duty: Ghosts is actually superior to the "reg-gun method?" Do you really think that a beginner quickscoper who bought the game yesterday could beat a reg-gunner who bought it yesterday? Do you really think that a professional quickscoper (Faze, Soar, Envy) could consistently out gun a member of a professional MLG team (Optic, Complexity, Team Kaliber)? Do you really think that the majority of players who quickscope are better at quickscoping than using a reg-gun?
Take into account the recent Sniper + Quickdraw nerf. Take into account the steep learning curve of quickscoping. Take into account 3 less perk points, because those 3 are used on quickdraw. Take into account the difficulty of learning proper movement skills as a quickscoper. Take into account the very precise and accurate shots (precise means repeatable, accurate means on target) needed to be positive when using a bolt-action (most quickscopers use bolt-action). Take into account how many players quickscope vs reg-gun. Take into account that focus does less for when using a sniper rifle. Take into account the slow ADS time of the snipers. Take into account the fast ADS time with AR's. Take into account the consistent TTK when you have 50% accuracy with an AR. Take into account the inconsistent TTK when you have 50% accuracy with a sniper. Take into account the enormous hip-fire spread of snipers. Do you get the idea?
If you answered yes to every single one of the questions in the first paragraph after reading the second paragraph, then you must be completely biased, or have not quickscoped against good players since the recent patch.
I applaud you for standing up for your position. It has been a long battle so far. Part of me hopes that quickscoping from BO2 will come back, because the quickscoping was perfect. Part of me hopes that the next patch does something even more obviously drastic that makes everyone believe that reg-gunning is obviously better.
Just saying, I have sniped a total of 3 times (not counting Stonehaven and Stormfront) since the last patch. My most used weapon is the USR. I've got to the point where quickscoping is difficult enough that it's not fun.
Good day, night, afternoon, evening, or whatever it is to you guys.
To your first paragraph I'd answer No to all of your questions... I'll ask you one question back in relation to it...
Do you really believe that wannabe qscopers on your team are a help or a hindrance?
I'd love to see you guys get your very own playlist where qscoping is encouraged, and you could enjoy it, but I am certainly glad that there are less qscopers ruining regular TDMs (which is all I play). I'm sure people who play objective games "to win" are happy that the patches have discouraged qscoping too...
Second paragraph, None of the nerfs and perks you mentioned have had an adverse affect of proper Snipers, only those who want to misuse them... I'd say that's a good thing...
It's morning here in the UK right now, and good morning back to you Sir...
I enjoyed a few games Sniping yesterday with the 115 on the big maps, but I do it as a purist. I did alright and it was fun for me. I do hope that both sides of this argument get what they want, but I hope it's not in the same matches...
I lost a TDM after going 35 and 4 because a pair of kids (I heard them chatting) were practicing qsing and basically feeding the enemy streaks... This happens too many times these days, and don't think I'm bagging out players who are not good at COD. We've all been there, just please, qs somewhere else and leave the rest of us to use the guns as intended?
