It's funny, I thought Black Ops Two was a bore. Bad pacing, no dynamics, limited strategy. For myself, a relatively thoughtless, repetitious game I tended to play on auto pilot. It was my first Call of Duty game and would have been my last had a friend not convinced me to buy Ghosts. Ironically, he now doesn't like Ghosts and plays BOII. I think Ghosts is a great game and what I was looking for in a FPS.
